Graduation Planner tool

Graduation Planner has been retired and will no longer be available for making new plans or viewing existing plans. There are two reasons for this: APAS is being upgraded and the new version will not work with Graduation Planner, and Graduation Planner does not meet the digital accessibility requirements mandated by University policy and federal law.

The University will replace Graduation Planner with another system at a later date.

Alternatives to Graduation Planner

While the University will be providing a tool to replace Graduation Planner in the future, there will be a period of time when there isn’t a long-term planning tool available. During this time, you may wish to use another method for planning that other students have found helpful:

Modify a sample plan from the University catalog

An example of how to graduate in four years is provided for each major in the catalog.

Note: Degree requirements can change. Your APAS will always have the most up-to-date requirements you need to complete.

To modify a sample plan from the University catalog, use the following steps:

  1. Find your program in the University catalog.
  2. Click on the “Sample plan” tab and follow the links to the sample plan.
  3. Make a copy of the plan and edit it as you like.

Using APAS, Schedule Builder, and University Catalogs

To use APAS, Schedule Builder, and University Catalogs as an alternative to Graduation Planner, complete the following steps:

  1. Run an APAS for your declared program (or a What-if APAS for another program you want to plan).
  2. Using the requirements you haven’t met, use Schedule Builder or University Catalogs to locate courses that fulfill those requirements.
    1. Note: Schedule Builder will display only courses that have been scheduled for a specific semester. University Catalogs will show all active courses and also when they are typically offered.
  3. Combine the information into a document with a section for each semester remaining for you.
