Take a class as non-degree/guest student

If you want to enroll in a class, but do not wish to be admitted to a degree program at the University of Minnesota, you may enroll as a non-degree-seeking student. You may take courses for credit, or audit courses.

Complete the following steps to apply

  1. Search for classes to explore available options.
  2. Complete the Request to Enroll as a Non-degree Student form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.
